4/12 QAS 24, Shoshana Cardin 12
The girls softball team won their third game of the season on Monday. Alexis McNeil was in the circle and pitched her best game so far. Jasmine Johnson flashed the leather with nice plays in the field. The bats came alive and helped with a 24-12 victory over Shoshana Cardin. Imani Goodall continues to improve behind the plate making two nice put outs . Brianna Jordan made the final out with a hard hit ball down the hot corner and a strong throw to record the out. When the girl play as a team good things happen and today’s game showed this! We are back in action on Thursday at home at 4:15.
4/9 QAS 13, McLean 7
The girls softball team won their second game of the season defeating Mclean 13-7 on Friday. Karyn Waters started her first game at second base and filled in very well making a nice catch. We were short a few starters and the girls stepped in and played well. The Lions are back in action on Monday, April 12 at home against Shoshanna Cardin at 4:30.
4/7 QAS 12, Field 10
The Varsity Girls home opener was played Wednesday on a beautiful sunny day. The fans were in store for a good game from the girls. Alexis McNeil started her second game and pitched a solid game. The bats came alive and helped the girls to a 12-10 victory . Jasmine Johnson started the hitting with a stand up triple. Breanna Jordan, Ekaila Edwards and Ma'Lika Tolbert had timely hits. Taylor Gardner and Syani Williams each made nice catches in the outfield. Jasmine Agnew started her first game in right field and played well. Starting in her second game Janee Rhone played solid defense at second base. The catcher position is a tough place to be on a 90 degree day but Imani Goodal goes out and does her job. She had never played catcher before this season and is becoming a solid player and one of the team leaders. Imani Goodall earned the game ball for her hard work and leadership. The girls will be back in action on Friday at home against McLean at 4:30.

The Varsity Girls opened their season with a tough road loss at Grace Christian Academy on Wednesday. Alexis McNeil pitched a great game in her first career start, Imani Goodall hustled behind the plate, and Janee Rhone played a solid second base in her first varsity game.
