Grading Rubric

 

Thesis:

 

10 points – Does your topic address the target issue? How well does your thesis phrase the idea or argument, which drives your paper?

 

 

Organization/Structure:

 

10 points – Is your paper laid out in a logical thought process? Are topic sentences opening each paragraph? Is each paragraph organized within itself?

 

 

Source Material:

 

30 points – Do you cite an appropriate amount of evidence? Does your evidence help develop your ideas? Do you properly explain your evidence?

 

 

Thought Process;

 

35 points – Do you develop ideas in your paper? Are your ideas well articulated? Are your ideas supported by your evidence?

 

 

Conclusion:

 

10 points – Is your paper properly summarized? Do you reword your thesis to close your paper?

 

 

Grammar:

 

5 points – Is your paper free of grammatical errors?
